THE STATE OF MIND

I've neglected this place. A lot has happened in 2023. I don't know if more than last year. Something influenced my desire to express my thoughts on the blog to give way to other needs. However, I have an incredible desire to change this in 2024.  * * *  Sometimes I come across the statement that we need to look to the future and leave the past where it belongs. So behind us. I kind of agree with this theory, but not entirely. The future is where we should focus our focus. However, the past is what we have experienced and experience creates us. Every sentence said, every look, every touch. We are the result of our experiences in the past and the hopes we place in the future. The year 2023 was what it was. I try to put aside the need to judge literally everything, so ubiquitous these days. After all, "what we call a rose by any other name would smell no less." The past year has brought me many new experiences, many new experiences. Some of them I met for the first time...

 I've been noticing a lot of things lately that I hadn't paid attention to for a long time. One of them is respect. Or rather, how we use it in everyday life. Or not.  Many entries on this blog have been devoted to the fact that we - humans - are moving further and further away from each other.  What is respect? According to the PWN dictionary it is "related to kindness, the attitude of acceptance of other people's achievements, aspirations and views, and reverence for what is great in them."  An attitude related to kindness...  Are we kind to others? Do we respect?  I think that in many cases we cannot be kind or express our respect for other people.  Meanwhile, so little is needed to express it. Kindness can make a difference. He can light up the dense darkness. It's like giving a hand.  I do not know why it is like that. I can't define what influences the fact that even the smallest gesture of kindness is considered a sign of weakness. I don't ...

  The door remains half open..  For some time I have come to the conclusion that there are moments in life that open up a wide spectrum of possibilities for each of us. Such moments usually come unplanned.  Suddenly, space-time, like a rubik's cube, puts all the elements in order and for this very moment is an opportunity to take advantage of the chances that has appeared.  Although maybe opportunities are everywhere and you just have to learn to see them.  We make choices. Smaller or bigger. Each of them makes us go in a certain direction. The trajectory of our flight changes with every decision we make.  When life inexplicably opens another door for you, don't turn your head. Take a peek at what's behind them. Perhaps more opportunities have just opened up for you.  Or maybe there is a new experience behind them that will change your perception forever.  Life is a mystery not to be solved, but to be lived.
